Frank Bruggeman is an installation artist from Rotterdam. He grew up in the countryside and is an avid gardener. Many of his installations refer to his agricultural background and gardening practices. The everywhere tool trolley underlines that in a garden of delight natural beauty must be heightened, in this case by adding an object to it with an unnatural blue color. People often need culture to really see and appreciate nature. The tool trolley also points to the idea that in gardening, a precarious middle ground must be found between freedom and coercion. This middle ground is never fixed but moves with the season and dynamics of the garden.
